Spring Trend Report
Breeze through Spring and hop into Summer with these fun fashion tips

By: Dee Dee Randle

This is such an exciting time for spring fashion. Designers are shedding their winter furs, skipping over customary pastels and brightening their spring collections with brilliant and vibrant hues that will take us well into the heat of summer.

Spring is all about radiant colors! Amp–up your style with rich shades such as canary yellow, electric orange, hot pink or jewel tones such as jade, azure and amethyst.

Tips: Try tone-on-tone color
Layering colors in the same family such as cobalt blue, turquoise, mint green with a splash of yellow is a fun way to play with the color palette (avoid over dosing on one color) and give your multihued ensemble that chic balance for spring.

For those of you unsure about trying vibrant pigments attempt:
Pairing colorful hues with black to create a balance that best fits your comfort zone! Bright colors on top, black on the bottom. Bright hues highlight the face and the black keeps the bottom half streamlined.

For those feeling adventurous, experiment with unconventional patterns:
Go bold by pairing flirty floral, bright stripes and animal prints. (Not all in the same outfit of course!) The key to this trend is to weave one color of the pattern through the entire outfit. For example you can wear a black and white floral printed dress with black and white polka dot shoes and a mint green sweater. The black keeps the outfit consistent, while the patterns bring layers of fun!

Another fun way to play with this electrifying trend:
Are you between manicures? Do it yourself! Add vibrant hues and fun designs to your nails by Sally Hansen! Best known for their Hard As Nails polish, Sally’s awesome collection of vivacious paints and fun art pens are sure to brighten up any ensemble.  Plus, the website offers a feature called “nail selector” that allows you to test drive the color before you buy it! For more information, go to www.sallyhansen.com to experience more exciting shades.
Making your eyes pop and adding bright lips to your daily outfit is yet another fun way to participate in this years’ spring fashion!  Try Dior diorissime 249 orange lips, Lagoon Green liner by make up forever and  blue noir mascara by Buxom, if you dare. Worry
By Dr. Delores Jones

Worry means  to assail with rough or aggressive attack or treatment; torment; to subject to persistent or nagging attention or effort; to afflict with mental distress or agitation; to make anxious; to feel or experience concern or anxiety; fret; to annoy; harass; plague; pester; tease mean to disturb or irritate by persistent acts. Worry implies an incessant goading or attacking that drives ones to desperation.

Fear is dread; fright; alarm; panic; terror; trepidation painful agitation in the presence or anticipation of danger.  11. Timothy 1:7 says, For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

There is always opportunity to worry about this or that but what is the use.  It will not change one thing. Plus the fact that it will end up making you sick and could even cause death.  When you worry, your faith cannot work. Worry is a product of doubt and unbelief.  In the book of John 10:10 it reads, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” It is imperative that we renew our mind daily because the enemy is always attempting to paint a picture of defeat and disaster. Do not allow the enemy access your mind or to feed you with dumb thoughts and lies.  His game is continually to get us to think on his lies.  In the book of John 8:44 it reads, “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do.  He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him.  When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”

Renewing the mind is a day-to-day process because man has been conditioned to react to the five senses:  what you can see, feel, hear, touch or taste.   When it comes to the Word of God and faith in the Word, it is based upon what you believe you have received and whether you are confessing the Word until the manifestation comes to past. In the book of Romans 12:2 it reads, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”   Remember, change will not take place until you decide and purposes in your heart to make a change.  Change is not automatic, and you cannot pop it into the microwave and - whoops, there it is.  Change takes time and process over a period of time.

In the book of Matthew 6:25-31 it reads, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on.  Is not your life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them.   Are you not more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to your stature? So why do you worry about clothing?  Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the open. Will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith. Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat? Or ‘What shall we drink? Or ‘What shall we wear?’

There are no excuses as to why you cannot be totally successful in this life.   It is an act and a choice of your own will to do or not to do. There is nothing like being in the peace of God no matter what the situation and circumstances of life are attempting to dictate to your mind.  In the book of 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 it reads, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds, casting down arguments ands every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”   The key to success is as soon as you cognize that that thought does not line up with the Word of God, you should immediately speak outwardly and address it and say I do not except that negative thought in the name of Jesus.  You must use the authority that has been delegated to the child of God this is why you must learn that authority and use it or lose it! In the book of Luke 10:19 it reads, “Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”  In the book of Mark 16:17-18 it reads, “And these signs will follow those who believe:  In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues’ “they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Walk in the authority of your God-given rights.  Stay in the peace of God.  In the book of Isaiah 26:3 it reads, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” In the book of Philippians 4:6-7 it reads, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Remember, you are a winner.   Maintain your position!
