Pastor and Founder Apostle Frederick K.C. Price Steps Aside As Pastor of Crenshaw Christian Center, Frederick K. Price Jr., Will  Be Installed As Pastor On March 15th

Dr. Creflo Dollar To Serve As Keynote Speaker

Los Angeles, CA - On Sunday, March 15th history will be made at Crenshaw Christian Center (CCC).

After more than 35 years of leading a faith movement and establishing one of the nation’s first Black mega-churches, Apostle Frederick K.C. Price will step aside and install his son as Head Pastor on his 30th birthday at a special service at 9:30 AM at the church located at 7901 S. Vermont Ave. in Los Angeles.

Dr. Creflo Dollar of World Changers Church International will be the keynote speaker for Pastor Frederick K. Price Jr.’s installation ceremony.  Dr. Dollar was selected because Pastor Price Jr. realized he was called into ministry during a service led by Dr. Dollar about 13 years ago.  There will also be a special music ministry.  The event is open to the public. Guests are advised to arrive early due to the expected large turnout or view it online at

Now at the seasoned age of 77, Apostle Price will not retire from the ministry, just from the daily pastoral duties over the churches in Los Angeles, New York, and a weekly television and radio broadcast titled “Ever Increasing Faith.” Having published two books last year and making national speaking engagements, the icon of faith doesn’t show signs of slowing down, but of a man who has a sharper focus on his next level of ministry. He also serves as Chairman of CCC’s board of directors.

“The formal succession of my son will take place on his 30th birthday, the same day Jesus began his ministry,” said Apostle Price who will still teach on some Sundays.  “This wasn’t planned, it just happened that way. I believe that it’s a sign from God that after six years of training as an assistant pastor, Freddie is ready to sit in the driver’s seat and I will be there to help him along his way.”

During high school, Pastor Price Jr. began a music career with a group called Seven Nine.  It consisted of six Christian rappers.  The group ministered for years around the country and even produced a CD titled “79.”  They continued to rap and produce songs until they transitioned to college.  Pastor Price Jr. graduated from Cottonwood’s School of Ministry in June 2002

Being a Gospel rap artist and appreciation of the culture helped to inspire him to create church services which featured Hip Hop Christian artists and Krump dancing. Initially, it was titled “Hip Hop Sunday.” But it was renamed “The Blue Print” since the church was on the forefront of incorporating the Hip Hop culture into the main service. As a leader in the Hip Hop generation, Pastor Price Jr. is passionate about striking a cord with his contemporaries in a real way.
“The Bible says a good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children,” said Pastor Price Jr.  “My father left me a powerful inheritance to teach the Word and to be a man of integrity.  “He’s been an awesome father and a great role model.  I look forward to continuing his legacy.”

Ever Increasing Faith Ministry reaches over 15 million households each week and airs in 15 of 20  largest markets throughout the United States.  For more information about the installation, call (323) 758-3777.
